Terms of Service

The agreement between you and us. We've kept it short and readable, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.

Last updated 16 September 2026

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of TaskDriver — the web app at app.taskdriver.io, our mobile apps, our API and this website (together, the "Service"). TaskDriver is built by independent productivity nuts for people who want to get more done; it is an independent project rather than a registered company, and your agreement is with Nir Cohen and the people who operate TaskDriver. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you are using TaskDriver for an organisation, you confirm you may bind that organisation.

How we handle your data is covered separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the Service. Keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly at im@nir.earth if you believe your account has been compromised — you are responsible for what happens under it. You must be at least 16 years old.

3. Your content

Your tasks, notes, attachments and everything else you put into TaskDriver remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.

You grant us only the permission we need to run the Service for you: to store, process, transmit and display your content, to sync it with the services you connect, and to share it with the people you explicitly share a space with. That permission ends when you delete the content or close your account.

You are responsible for your content being lawful and for having the right to store it with us.

4. Connected services

TaskDriver connects to third-party services — Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Drive, Slack and others — at your instruction. Connecting one authorises us to access it on your behalf as described in the Privacy Policy. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, their behaviour, or changes they make to their APIs. You can disconnect any of them at any time from inside the app.

5. Plans, trials and billing

6. Acceptable use

Don't use TaskDriver to break the law, to store or distribute malware, to harass anyone, or to infringe someone else's rights. Don't attempt to breach or probe our security, don't scrape or overload the Service, don't resell it, and don't use our API in ways that degrade it for other people. Don't use the Service to violate the terms of a service you have connected to it.

We may suspend or terminate an account that does these things, with notice where it is practical to give it.

7. AI features

Some plans include AI features that research, draft and prepare work on your behalf. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything consequential before you rely on it — you remain responsible for actions you take on the strength of an AI suggestion. We do not use your data to train generalised AI models; see the Privacy Policy for the detail.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep TaskDriver available and fast, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may add, change or remove features, and we will give reasonable notice before removing something you materially depend on. Planned maintenance will be announced where we can.

9. Ending it

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access if you materially breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service — in which case we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and your content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data, and our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

TaskDriver is a productivity tool, not a system of record. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will update the date at the top and notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction — without depriving you of any protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country you live in.
